Do we go inside the Peace Memorial Museum?

Yes. The route ends with about an hour inside the museum, whose exhibits include artifacts, photographs, and personal accounts of the bombing.

The former Shima Hospital marks the hypocenter, the point directly beneath the explosion. The tour stops there to explain the role this small medical building played.

What is special about the Rest House?

It is one of the few buildings within 200 meters of the hypocenter to survive, and remarkably one person inside lived through the explosion. The tour meets and begins there.

How do I get back to Hiroshima Station afterward?

The tour ends at the park, and Hiroshima Station is about 15 minutes away by streetcar. The surrounding area is also full of okonomiyaki restaurants if you want to stay longer.
