The Kamikochi Visitor Center is an starting point for anyone visiting Kamikochi. It provides great basic information about the local ecosystem, wildlife, and current trail conditions. I recommend stopping by here to get maps and learn about the area before heading out on your trek
The Kamikochi visitor center is located near the entrance of the walking trail toward Myojin bridge. I thought it was the one next to the bus terminal but that one is a tourist advice center. It's a large building in a wooded setting. There are benches for seating outside.
Beautiful walks along the stream. Generally flat with boardwalks in certain muddier areas. Water is very blue and clear. Went on the last day (closing day) so the shops were half stocked and many signages were wrapped up, probably in preparation for the park's closure
This is a very nice visitor center. They have information about mountains, sell items for climbing mountains, even have little museum, too. English is OK.
Lots of knowledge stored in this place. Beautiful work of art can be found here.
