Located just a minute's walk from the main gate of Ryoan-ji, one of Kyoto's most popular destinations, this tea ceremony experience is set amidst the stunning backdrop of the world-renowned rock garden of the Zen temple. Enjoy a traditional tea ceremony with Matcha, sweets, and all the necessary tea-making equipment provided. Gluten and nut-free, vegan sweets are available for all guests.
You have the option to dress in a kimono during the experience.
Kimono rental is 5000 yen per person, and sizes are available for ages 12 and up.
The kimono dressing process takes approximately 20 minutes per person, and groups of 2 should arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony while groups of 4 should arrive 1 hour before.
Kimono rental is not available during the busy spring season, from March 20th to May 10th.
