Experience a unique and exciting opportunity to explore the beautiful city of Arimatsu, one of the few remaining original Edo period areas in Nagoya. On our Shibori Tie-Dye Workshop and Arimatsu City Tour, you'll discover an array of interesting workshops, galleries, and the Shibori Kaikan Museum where you can observe traditional tie-dying techniques used for centuries. Plus, engaging souvenir shops offer creative works made with Shibori art that make perfect souvenirs or gifts! 

After a wonderful time exploring the city on foot, you will have the chance to get involved yourself by visiting one of three available workshops. Here you can learn to create your own handmade dyed art – a truly enriching experience! Lunch is included so you will have plenty of energy to take everything in! Bring along friends or family and enjoy this special excursion tailored just for travelers like you.

With tour guides who are knowledgeable and multilingual, you will be guided throughout the city. You'll also gain access to a dyeing studio where experienced dye and fashion designers share their knowledge. Learn how to concoct delicate dyed patterns on fabrics with an easy-to-use method in just a few hours! Your unique designs will make for great souvenirs – or unforgettable gifts for friends and family too. 

Afterwards, take time to visit local arts centers, have lunch at a traditional eatery, or shop at one of Arimatsu's markets before concluding your 6 hour tour back at your starting point.

9:00 AM - Meet at Nagoya Station then take the train to Arimatsu.
10:20 AM - Arrive at Shibori Kaikan, explore the tie dyeing museum and galleries.
11:15 AM - Walk through the old streets and have lunch.
13:00 PM - Start dyeing workshop.

14:30 PM ‐ Handkechief/ Tenugui:Finish the workshop and walk to Arimatsu Station.
15:00 PM ‐ Handkechief/ Tenugui:Take the train back to Nagoya Station.

Fun, well paced and very interesting experience
This is a full day tour starting from Nagoya Station, our guide Fumiyo-san is very friendly and speak perfect english. She took us around Arimatsu and explain historical sites very well and took us to the Shibori museum for our workshop. We had a lot of fun and really enjoy the course. For lunch we went and have Kamameshi which was super deliciousssss. Thank you so much from my mother and i. We have a very (wonderful) experienceful time in Nagoya.
